Cooper University Health Care Selects hellocare.ai as Enterprise Platform for AI-Assisted Intelligent Hospital Rooms, Virtual Nursing, and Virtual Sitting
March 03, 2026
Camden, NJ and Clearwater, FL - March 3, 2026 – Cooper University Health Care has selected hellocare.ai as its enterprise platform to power AI-assisted intelligent hospital rooms across its health system, advancing patient safety, virtual care delivery, and clinical innovation.
The enterprise deployment includes AI-assisted Virtual Nursing and Telehealth, AI-assisted Virtual Sitting, and advanced AI models focused on fall prevention, real-time fall detection, and pressure injury prevention. By combining computer vision technology, two-way video communication, and integrated clinical workflows, the intelligent hospital room creates a digitally enabled bedside environment designed to enhance safety while supporting nurses and physicians in real time.

Falls and hospital-acquired pressure injuries remain among the most significant patient safety challenges nationwide. hellocare.ai’s AI continuously monitors patient movement, positioning, and bed-exit behaviors, generating proactive alerts that allow care teams to intervene earlier and reduce preventable harm. AI-assisted Virtual Sitting provides an additional layer of observation and support, while Virtual Nursing and Telehealth capabilities enable remote clinical collaboration and workflow optimization inside the hospital.
“At Cooper University Health Care, we are using advanced technology to drive better outcomes and elevate both the patient and clinician experience,” said Snehal V. Gandhi, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer at Cooper University Health Care. “This platform identifies patient risk in real time and enables telemedicine capabilities, including teleICU, allowing us to intervene earlier and coordinate care seamlessly across settings.”
“As a showcase site with hellocare.ai, we’re developing a simulated patient room that integrates safety monitoring, virtual care, translation services, entertainment, and other bedside tools into one unified digital platform. Most importantly, this partnership demonstrates how thoughtfully designed technology can strengthen human connection, enhance digital empathy in way that supports the pivotal principles outlined in the book Compassionomics to keep the clinician–patient relationship at the center of care.”
“Our nursing teams are the backbone of safe, high‑quality care,” said Kathy Devine, DrNP, RN, NEA‑BC, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive at Cooper University Health Care. “AI‑assisted virtual nursing and virtual sitting enhance patient safety by helping us proactively prevent falls, pressure injuries, and other avoidable harm, while also reducing workflow burdens that pull nurses away from the bedside. This technology is designed to support our direct care nurses—optimizing their workflows, strengthening clinical vigilance, and ensuring they can focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care to our patients.”
“Cooper University Health Care is taking a strategic, system-wide approach to AI-assisted care delivery,” said Labinot Bytyqi, Founder and CEO at hellocare.ai. “Our platform brings together intelligent hospital room capabilities, virtual nursing, and AI-driven safety models into one unified solution. We are proud to partner with Cooper to reduce preventable events and support scalable, sustainable care models.”
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to innovation, safety, and building the next generation of digitally enabled hospital environments.
